FAQs

What is a Virtual Food Drive?
Think of a traditional food drive, but virtual! You are able to select items you want to ‘buy’ (donate) into your online cart, check out, and those items will be donated to a local food bank.

Why did C3 Toronto create a Virtual Food Drive?
C3 Toronto saw a need within our community. With the impact of COVID-19, many families have been financially impacted and, as a result, food banks have seen a surge in the number of people accessing their services. Food banks are short on their supply and we wanted to create a safe way for those in our community to support.

Why the Daily Bread Food Bank?
All food donated via this website will be donated to The Daily Bread Food Bank. The Daily Bread Food Bank provides food to those living on low income. They also provide food to member agencies, and provide homemade meals to agencies that operate shelters or drop-in programs. The impact of COVID-19 has lead to escalating rates of their food bank use - which is why we want to support. For more information on The Daily Bread Food Bank, please visit their website at https://www.dailybread.ca.

Will the items I select be the actual ones donated to the Food Bank?
Yes! We have a partnership with a food distributor which allows us to order the items found on this website. In the event that there is a shortage of one item or other issues arise, we will place an order for a similar item.

Will I get a tax receipt for my donation?
Yes, you will get a tax receipt for your donation. Tax Receipts will be issued by C3 Toronto in February 2021.

I have more questions. Who should I contact?
